Great Moments on The Osa Peninsula!
On one day the rainforest has a calm nurturing sense about it, The next day the entire rainforest explodes with deafening symphonies of Cicadas, Dozens of Toucans fly by. Eagles and hawks always close by looking for their next meal. Miles away you can hear and smell the approaching rain as it penetrates the canopy. The shower dumps 2 inches of rain in 30 minutes. Poison dart frogs come out to forage in an afternoon downpour.
Basilisk Lizards soak up the afternoon sun after the storm passes. And if you’re really blessed you'll see a River Otter, Agouti or a Tamarind Anteater on your afternoon or morning hike. Keep your cameras ready ! The rainforest and flora and fauna comes alive each awakening day as it was millions of years ago, with reptiles, birds, and mammals living together. |

While you eat lunch in our dining area, Sloth's slowly climb down the tree into your peripheral vision! You abandon lunch to watch!
Witness dozens of baby Titi monkeys born on the same week. They travel past our home at eye level in the trees each day as they go about their “Monkey Biz”!
Raptors and predators always close behind looking for their next meal .
Howler monkey “howls” rock you out of bed promptly at 6 am.
Go face to face with squirrel monkeys 80” up in the canopy. Have your camera ready !
A dozen Toucans fly by and you see a giant iguana high up in a tree.
Get up before 5 am. and watch the steamy mist rising from the canopy being warmed by the sun – Changing, moving and fingering into each steep canyon on the horizon. Spectacular sunrises!
Free dive 50’ down with a school of Whale sharks only to realize that you have to continue breathing and come up for air.
Hear our Sloth’s call at night. If you’re blessed - see her move & interact with the baby !

Witness the stampede of army ants while they break off into squadrons and infantry platoons- only minutes later they vanish and march off into the forest.
Minutes away you can visit is a small recovering coral reef, surrounded by the lush mountains of the Golfo Dulce. Swim with Parrot Fish, Rays, Eels, and look for Lobster.
It’s 6:00 am. The following day – Dozens of parrots explode from the sky and land in the tree right above your bedroom. There are so many, moving so fast, you can barely count them. Don’t they know you are sleeping ? Naturally occurring tropical bird & animal shows at 6 am and again at 4 pm. Different shows each day, never the same. And did we forget to mention – You have not left the house yet ! Truly Heaven on Earth !
